Restore recycle bin



Introduction:

If you do not see the recycle bin icon on the desktop, then youn may try this trick to show the recycle bin icon on the desktop. But before proceeding, you may check whether in properties, you have selected to show recycle bin icon or not.

If you have selected to show the recycle bin icon on the desktop and you are still unable to see it on the desktop, then you may try this trick. I hope this trick will troubleshoot the problem.


How to do it:
  1. Go to run
  2. In the run dialog box, type "regedit" & click OK.
  3. Now navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\EXPlorer\Desktop\NameSpace.
  4. Make sure that NameSpace is selected, now on the right pane right click & select New => Key
  5. Now right click the new key & select rename.
  6. Copy-Paste this name including braces- {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}.

Results:

Refresh the desktop or log off and log in again. You will see that the recycle bin icon will re-appear on your desktop.
